Vise id please

I'll be picking this one up for $20. All it says on it is "patent 1914"

Any ideas on what it is. I really dont care what it is. I just thought it was a cool looking old vise. And hell, it was only $20.

Never seen a design like that. The anvil type end would indicate that it might a machinist vise but the jaws don't look very sturdy. I'd also be weary whether that clamping mechanism works reliably. If you do buy it post a review on it.
