China Bondo Special, worth $10 to $20 if in need of a quick vise. Jaws rotate 360, come in handy sometimes but mostly frustrates you.

X2. You can find more than one thread on this board about people that bought those used thinking they were good old vises. You can buy these under a number of names including some brands that otherwise make great USA vises.

I am no vise expert, there are plenty here. What I have found from craigslist, garage sales, a flea markets is you never want a vise with a paper label, or even plates unless a well know one. Raised letter vises are easy to spot and most of the time a worthy buy if under 50 cents a pound.

Found this!!!
Is Wilton, opens to 4.5" wide......decent vise?

Thx again.

Probably. More than likely that "4.5-inches" refers to the width of the jaws, not how far they open. The jaw width is what is most important and most often indicates the overall vise size as well.
