Vise ID??

I came across this vise on Craigslist. I can't quite make out the maker - Rock Island? This is the only pic they provided and the description only states "large benchtop vise".

Any ideas? The seller is asking $100

Probably not a rock island. Nice vintage and looks and if no cracks or welds and bigger than 4.5 inch jaws I would say buy at $100

It looks like a Hollands 16 to me. If that's correct it would have a 6" jaw.

Thanks gents. It does seem to have a "Hollands" format/layout to the lettering and numbers now that I have looked at others here. I'm still waiting to hear back. Hopefully we'll know for sure soon - then again, it is Craigslist and it was titled "vice"

the wording isn't quite right on your vise you are looking at for a Holland's vise, but they did use the small numbering system. it is close though and could be one and might be a 6 inch because my 15 was a 5 inch and mine weighed maybe 70pounds. it's a great vise and a great deal for $100 if he calls you back and there isn't any cracks, welds or broken parts we can't see in the picture.

Well, looks like it was a false alarm. I haven't heard back from the seller to date. Too bad, it would have been a nice addition. Thanks to everyone for all of the input. I appreciate it.
