Vise ID?

Can one of you Vise experts ID this thing? A buddy gave it to me, and I'm curious to know who made it. It looks like there was once a nameplate on the side, but that is gone now, and I don't see anything cast into it anywhere - even under the base.

brand name on it might have been Olympia or Larin and yes it's an import. even though a lot of these break the users usually were doing something they should not have been doing with a vise.

don't use it as a press or an anvil and don't hammer on it or the handle and I've seen some on benches in working condition for maybe the last 30 or 40 years.

must be a good friend to give you a vise. now you have one to use while you look for another bigger one.:D

Dang... you guys are fast.

It does work fine, and I have a RR anvil for when things really need to be beaten into submission. He is a good friend - he was helping a friend of a friend clean out his garage as they are moving south, and snagged me the vise and a drill press.
