Recently, I picked up a brand new (as in still in production) Milwaukee Morton wood vise for my work bench for a great price. The woodworking site only sells that, though. I see they offer a lot of other vises on their homepage, but no way to buy them and I can't find any sites that sell them. Anyone know where to get their vises?

Hi Kevin, one for the spreadsheet. Eron 90, 3 1/2" jaws, opens 4 1/8", replaceable jaws, no pipe jaws, swivels, weighs 26.6 lbs and is made in Japan.
Not a bad little vise, seems to be pretty well made.

Here's a couple not on the spreadsheet.

Samson 5219, 4" jaw swivel base. Opens 5.5" weighs 50 lbs.

I see there is a Hollands 16 already on the sheet, fixed base and 6" jaws. Well here is a different one. It is 3.5" jaw fixed base. Opens 5" and weighs 29 lbs.

Thanks! According to Fierljeppen, it's a WW1-era vise. It does seem like Hollands renumbered a few times, some are 2 digit and some are 3.

The Samson isn't very common, I've only seen one other doing a quick search. From the Sears catalogs I've seen when they sold Samson vises, it appears the model numbers are different year to year. This one is stamped "5034" on top of the slide where Rock Islands are stamped, I guess I should try to find a '34 Sears cat.

Both of these are in good shape, came from the same place. The Samson's swivel base was seized, easy fix. There is almost no backlash in the screw. I'd guess it was maybe used a handful of times.

I am sure most of you have seen this old Fulton star I brought back to life. If not and you are interested it has its own thread Fulton 23 I spent about 160 hours rebuilding it and making the swivel base. 6 inch jaws I didnt measure( I don't have it mounted and it tips off the bench) but opens at least 12 inches and weighs 166 pounds0318201212.jpg0318201213.jpg

Cory, nice job and already added it to the spreadsheet a couple days ago. Welcome to the vise machine repair and rebuild world. 160hrs is a long time, having the right equipment will shorten a major repair like you have done. I know since I have repaired several in as bad as shape as yours was. Good job and can't wait till I see your next project.

I just picked up an ex cell o ram mill with a 42 in table looking for a rotary table and it pushed my old Logan pretty hard. To be honest most of the machining was outside my wheelhouse when I started I had some idea how to do it but for example I had never ground a lathe tool myself or cut external threads and so a lot of the time was learning new to me techniques. Thanks for adding my vise

Here is one that I did not see in the list; unsure of age.

Craftsman 5213
Jaw Width = 4-1/2"
Max Open = 6" (as measured by exposed slide, Rock Island catalogs say 6-1/2")
Weight = 74lbs

I'll get some better photos once I clean it up

Erie 106. 6" jaws? that opens to 9-1/2". These jaws look to be 5-3/4 wide or there about.
