Hey everyone. So the truck shop I work in doesn’t have a ton of work benches. I’m considering using a small Wilton vise mounted to the top of my snap on master series in the front corner on a 1/4 steel plate. Just a place to hole air valves when changing fittings and working parts and such. Anyone ever done this?

I was going to lay plywood down to bring it up to the height of the little lip that sticks up on the sides and around the back, then lay the1/4" steel on top and weld skirts on the ends that I could drill and bolt into the handle mounts on the sides. I wound up making an 11' long top to cover 2 long cabinets.

Go for it!
