Vise on Craigs

I'm a vise fan. I have my baby (Athol) proudly restored and mounted on the bench. I have a sweet Wilton in perfect shape that just needs a wire wheel and light overhaul I have yet to restore that I picked up for $40. A mini Dunlap (circa 50's) that I don't know what to do with but it's in perfect shape and I couldn't pas it up for $10. I'll soon get to my circa 50's or 60's Craftsman wood vise that needs the same TLC as the Wilton.

Question: What the hell is this guy thinking?

He most likely means $175 as he even states it cost $600 new.

Pretty sure that is Ridgid F-45 model (4 1/2 in jaw) which is $211 new on Amazon. Decent deal at $175 or better if negotiate down to $150 or so.

If however, this is larger Ridgid model F-60, then the $175 is screaming deal if you're in market for new style vise as 6 inch jaw.

These are strong 75,000 psi tensile strength.
