It looks like its in fantastic shape. The irregularities you see on the dynamic jaw are not pits but casting flaws from sand molds they cast the steel in. Sometimes they are deep or can be shallow, other times raised lettering on the vise is missing due to residual metal hanging behind for the next casting.

The factory flaws are all part of the character of the vise.

+1 on that one. Its a 1st class USA made utility vise and at a big box China price. Remember, its going in a Large Flat Rate box so its not big big vise.

There's quite a few hours into that thing, wirewheeling etc. How the hell did he get the handle and lead screw polished up so nice. See, just more man hours.

What's your time worth? Note: it is only 18lbs, so it is on the smaller side...

I have a 3-1/2 vise now that works fine but i want something bigger for my work bench and move my smaller one out on to my tool box. I will keep an eye on it but my guess is somebody picks it up for the buy it now price.
