Vise parts needed

Someone at work used my vise as a press and stripped the threaded receiver just enough that it cant tighten. I am on the search for replacement part for it The vise has no names on the sides. It has 76655-03 cast into the bottom of the anvil side

Jeep: can you post any pictures of your vise? if its not a high end vise it might be easier to find a replacement on Craigslist or Ebay, but without pictures we won't be able to tell you much. if you need help with pictures just ask.

I'm not sure if that's a Columbian or a Wilton/Snapon Tradesman variant. One of the vise guru's would know. If we can get them to take a look.

Either way, I'd be willing to bet that the company is still in business and may have replacement parts.

Now, the monkey that broke it, on the other hand ...................................

More than likely you are SOL. Find a good quality one on CL and make the idiot that broke it pay for it.

jeepnatv4life i don't typically post in the vise threads but somehow started skimming through here and then looked on my craigslist under "vise" and this popped up, thought it might help you with a reference, it looks like the same style

^ ^ ^ Nice find for vise in helping the OP. For $55 that 4 1/2" vise is bargain.

OP . . . if you happen to be in San Francisco . . . go snag that one !! Of course, the co-worker who broke it needs to pick up the tab, even if that involves shipping the vise from SF, CA.
