Hey g.j was wondering if i added this bearing i found at work to my vise if it would help or hurt?

If it fits I don't think it would hurt at all. Looks nice and thin. There are guys that build "modern" custom vises that use bearings, really slick.

if you don't have the hardened thrust washers it butts to, I can see it deforming the vise & handle with ball bearing depressions .
what would it add to the vise that it doesn't have already?

It sits between two washers so i dont mind if they get worn. It makes the vise let off realy easy.

Hey guys im giving this away if any body wants it a parker 103 and its missing the dynamic jaw insert?

Adding that bearing will reduce the amount of force the vice can apply, which is presently much more than the capacity of that bearing.
