You should be able to find an American-made vise of higher quality for about $35-$50 on your local Craigslist or Facebook Martetplace. Look for brands like Reed, Parker, Athol, Starrett, Rock Island, or Hollands and you’ll almost certainly be better off than the vise you posted. Make sure to do a good look over for cracks, chips and repairs and you’ll have a a solid vise that should last a lifetime. Good luck and be sure to post in the Vise thread when you find something.
