I am looking for a replacement pair of Visegrip 4BN locking pliers. They are approx. 4 inches long needle Nose Visegrip with angled jaws. They work great for wrestling out small stripped screws.

They are no longer in production.

Anyone have a pair they may want to sell?

Thanks

I saw the $100 price tag....it’s killing me.

A 6 and 9 inch used to be available also.

Is someone from Irwin tools a member? I would like to ask why they were pulled from production and will they ever come back?

Seems to me that they would sell more than a few of those.
All of my vise grips are the older Peterson ones, but I’d make an exception for a BN

I have a pair of each of the 3 sizes and they are not for sale, bought them NOS of Ebay a few years ago from Italy. They are occasionally very useful.

Never knew these were a production item. I had a specific job I needed some for however. Heated and bent a regular needle nose set. Has held up well for a few years now.

these are rare . I only got 1 pair that was my fathers .
I picked up a lot of like new USA visegrips at yard sales but never seen a pair of these, had couple sets off eBay but again never seen these besides 1 off's at silly money .
Always amazed me milwaukee or tekton never done any this style ! even Toptul would of been great if covered this .
If HF tool smart they got the Bremen range cover this but unfortunately they not and prefer same very basic tools replicated in about 4 brands and a rainbow of colors lol ...

I have a few but am not planning on selling any at the moment. The 4BN are hard to come by as they were not made for long. I would guess that the average hardware store didn't stock the specialty ones like the BN or the larger clamps like a tool house would, which would lead to fewer being in circulation. The 6BN, while still somewhat rare, are much more common than the 4BN or 9BN.

They work great in my trade for locking onto the head of a bad screw and turning it out. Keeps from scratching the skin underneath. I think I am going to ping Irwin, worse they can say is no.

You can buy a dozen Bremens, a torch, and still cover your time for the price of that eBay listing.

Sure I can bend up a set but if I did that it still wouldn’t satisfy my obsession. I reached out to Erwin below is the reply:

Hi Chris

I had no idea these were rare, I think I've got a few I've picked up over the years. I've got so many vise grips I usually don't look any more but I'll start looking for these again.

Very short sighted of these companies but typical as all they interested in is cheap and easy .
Tekton most likely respond to this as they currently seem to listen to the buyers and keen for the reputation and tool design edge .
