Like with Wilton pipe jaw inserts or some of the combination vises like, of memory serves the Columbian m3 series pipe jaw inserts, if your cleaning an old one that's been painted or got rusty or whatever, how could you replicate that black (oxide?) finish ?
i mean in a way that it's not a coating that will come off on the workpiece...like paint, etc.
