Visible gas pump

Hello to all new here to the site from Ohio. are there any members that would be able to help me identify this visible gas pump. And thanks for any replies

Welcome to the forum from Southwestern California, I have not been sold gas from a hand lift pump since 1969. It might be a Wayne, but I am only guessing.

Thanks for the reply I am always looking for other input from pictures that I have seen I believe it’s a Wayne also I can’t remember what year it was 1970s it was on the farm have no idea if grandpa used it or not.

Handlift pumps had become obsolete long before the 1950's; your Grandfather probably had storage tank that the dealer delivered a bulk load of fuel to.

The last two places I fueled from a pump like that were in Hope, Alaska and a village in Southern Spain.

About 15 years ago my wife and I were going up toward Ebbetts pass from Nevada to Calif on HWY 4 when we spotted a visible pump at a very small business. I decided to purchase 2 gallons of gas for both of our H-D. Was the first and last time I will ever be able to do that. Was cool at the time. At one point Ebbetts pass hits 24% grade and just under 9,000' and yes it is a fun road on a motorcycle.

This one outside a truly "vintage" Silverton, Colorado hotel our family stayed at in July 1970 was probably long out of service by then. Our old travel journal notes how scared my mom (shown here) was to have our door banged on twice during the night by people wanting to buy gas.

There was a hand lift pump in operation in lake city, KS. until the early sixties. Regular only. Very very small town.

Wayne 615? The top seems a bit elongated but the pic may be distorted. There should be a plate behind the handle (if it's still there or hasn't been painted over) that will have the model # on it. Model # will be in the green circle.

Mine sure did. Up to the 80s and I remember Dad fueling up there. 90s are questionable without interviewing family.

Thanks for the replies yes the nameplate has been painted over might try to look at that further
