thanks for asking ...

well it was way hotter than we expected so that slowed us up a little

i did the antique swap meet at long beach , that was pretty good ,got a few signs there and some 7 up crates

did the cypress , goldenwest, santa fe swap meet's - pretty impressive and i got a few bits n peices but not as much as id hoped for

tried a few antique malls that were crazy expensive but did like the one called jacks in whittier

also got a few bits n peices from harbour freight and a made in usa wrench from sears lol

next time i will try and fix it so i can go to pomona

Sorry about the heat, It has been way too hot (Sahara hot); much more than normal. It has kept me out of my shop for over a month and not fun (125 inside). At least you missed this Sunday, I had to drive into the San Fernando Valley, it was raining and 96 degrees.

I'm glad to hear Long Beach worked out. When You come back, you have to try to make it to the Rose Bowl flea market (even better than LB), last Sunday morning was also the Long beach Hi performance swap meet which I think you would probably have enjoyed.(http://timscribbles.com/2012/02/29/long-beach-hi-performance-swap-meet/)

I also agree, the antique malls simply price themselves out of the market, you never hear anybody really go to them anymore, having said that I have found some good deals but you always have to ask the front desk to call the seller and ask him if he will make a deal, most of the time they do.

Glad to hear you were able to take some finds home, especially the made in the USA tools :)

Again, sorry about the weather, I hear it's nice here in the spring.
