I've made a couple topics asking about some various tool brands the fast few days and have seen some interesting discussions come from it so I figured I'd make another. I have this little 7/16" and 3/8" double open end wrench made by Vlchek (W1214) to start it off. Please post any Vlchek tools that you own and/or any info about the company!

JD: sorry i don't have any pictures saved on my laptop of Vlchek tools, but i own several and love their quality and heft. i heard they were located in Cleveland, OH so you might check the link McB put on his post in my OLD PICTURES thread about Cleveland. or Google it.

i'll post up more pictures as i can. isn't there other threads on Vlchek or did you already check? I think i remember Woody doing a big history on them, but maybe that was another tool company.

I have 1/4, 7/16, and 1/2".

I have some Vlchek double box end wrenches that are quite old. The beams are super thin, but a few times I've really cranked on them they didn't flex at all. They're just good old fashioned quality made tools.

My Vlchek stash, what I have left. The 7/8" wrenches are new old stock except they have a "US" engraved on them, I think they were Gubment surplus. Not sure about the wrenches in the pouches if they have been used or not but the wrenches are engraved.

Vlchek made many tool kits for different auto companies back in the 30's thru the late 50's. I made it a quest to find a correct tool kit for my 57 Chevy. That kit also contained a small ball peen hammer. It took me quite a while too find the correct tool but I'm glad I did.

I have a few wrenches but this small ball hammer was part of a estate sale haul and is kinda cool! How do you tell if it is a tool kit hammer?

Who would have made this 7/8" 1/2-inch drive socket for Vlchek?
