Anyone know anything about these? Bought it yesterday for $35.
Seems well built, heavy as lead.
Lots of space.

Vulcan was the tool truck version of Williams. Their foray into that type of service did not go well, but the tools were excellent.

I thought Vulcan was the tool company started by Mr. Spock.

Saw a lady buying a new Vulcan shovel the other day, told her not to get the Klingon one because everything sticks to it....girl behind the counter cracked up....

I spotted this sticker on a Vulcan box at a flea market a few years ago...

Here is a Vulcan roller I just picked up to go with the top box I’ve had for awhile.
I’m curious who manufactured this. I cannot find any date or code stamp on it unless it is under a sticker. It is a heavy well made box.

We used to have a Vulcan tool truck come to the hangar every Friday, it was the oldest Metro bread van I'd ever seen. I give the guy credit, he kept his overhead low!

Looks very similar to some of the older Mac boxes.

I picked up the same/similar Vulcan Box awhile back. As far as I can tell it looks to have been made by MBC and basically equivalent to their "El Dorado" model tool boxes.

Thanks for posting the photos and info. Mine is definitely a MBC El Dorado rebadged as a Vulcan.
I have taken all the drawers out and find that on the bottom drawer one slide is missing. Is there a source to order a replacement slide? 17” long 3/4” tall 5/16” wide.

Sorry for the delay, unfortunately I have no idea on the availability of new slides. I high doubt they are available given the boxes age but you never know. Any stamping/numbers on the slides ? Perhaps find a beat up donor box cheap to obtain a replacement slide? Unfortunately these boxes seem relatively rare so the chances of finding a cheap donor is probably remote. That is not to say other boxes out there didn't use the same slides but who knows.
