I have a Vulcan Welding cart, and after assembly, the top drawer won't open. I don't know if it ever did. For those that have this cabinet, do you have any ideas? I've had it for a while, so I don't think returning it is an option.

I have tried with the bolts for the bottle removed, just in case. No change. I get 1/16-1/8" of movement in the drawer, and it won't pull out any further.

Any thoughts?

Thank you, in advance.

Did you ever figure this out? Mine acts like it is locked as well. Second and third drawers work fine.

There is a friction retainer on it.... sometimes you need to give it a pretty good YANK.... Don't know why the other drawers don't have it....

I just came across this thread. We just got my boy a Vulcan cart. The drawer isn't opening because the organization grid is jammed up from being flipped over. I stuck my phone in there and took a video to confirm. Now to figure out how to free it up.

I drilled out the 3 rivets that hold the slide in. Dropped the side of the drawer down and slid it open. Removed the organizer and riveted the slide back in. Good as new... because it was just assembled an hour ago.

Update. Drilled out the rivets for the slide, opened the drawer, removed the organizer, and reinstalled the slide with rivets.
