These keep showing up in my Facebook feed and I gotta say they look damn nice. Anyone on here buy one and have any thoughts on it? Thinking about dropping in on the steel max....

Someone already started a thread where he had bought one. His conclusion was something like, "Damn!! I don't deserve this, but I am really glad I got it!!"

I bought one around turkey day when they were having a bit of a sale and it was worth every penny. I got tired of paying for junk plastic seats, ****** casters, air cylinders that blow out/stop working, plywood with leather stretched over for a seat. The normal ones just ****. I had seen someone made a thread about garage seats and I didn't see anything that was worth buying until someone posted a vyper chair link. I looked at it and said goddamn that's nice, but it's too much money. Then I went back to using my ****** stool and bitching the whole time. I then saw a sale and said ya know what, screw it I'm gonna buy one. It came in like a week and I was impressed when I saw how nicely put together it is compared to the normal junk.

Moral of the story in this case is buy once, cry once

My dad told me he used to buy - good, then better, then best. He learned it's cheaper to just buy best the first time around.

What one did you go with? Any issues at all or anything you would do differently if you ordered again?

Robust steel model. Honestly one of the best constructed things I've ever assembled. You know how things usually have holes slightly off, things don't line up, crappy bolts included, threads need chasing, etc? This thing was perfectly aligned and the tapping was probably the cleanest I've run across. I'm considering ordering another one, maybe a tall model for the welding bench once we get it situated
