These are supposedly USA made/built shop chairs that are extremely high-quality. I have broken two HF chairs within the last six months so I am interested in a higher quality unit. But the price seems high and there seems to be some hype on the product - so I am a bit skeptical.

Does anyone have any experience with this brand (or others)?

I don’t have any input, but those sure look cool. I’m interested in any response as well.

I have been using Safco rolling stools in my shop for a few years, and have been very pleased with their quality and heavy duty build. This year, I decided to try out one of their "chairs", which is a rolling stool with a back and piston for raising/lowering (and optional arms). It also has a tilt control for the back. I was not disappointed; same high quality. Their seating products are made in Taiwan.

When you view their web site, don't be put off by the MSRPs. Amazon sells their products for considerably less. This is the chair I got. It has a seat height range from 23" to 32.5". MSRP $692, Amazon price $288.48. The only dislike is the back could be a bit further forward, but I modified it a bit to accomplish this.

Safco Vue Heavy Duty Stool.

We have one of the Vyper Chairs at work. Its freakin nice. If I was such a cheap ***, i'd have one at home. Our boss is friends with the guy that started that company, they're very nice people and build a quality product.

It looks like it would be almost impossible to knock that thing over. I have a DeWalt (no back), but like it a lot. I also have the old style low stool with padded cushion. I wish its cushion was like the Vyper’s.

I bought one and it's an awesome stool. Very high quality construction and very comfortable. I got tired of the $39.99 stools that always break.. You know how they are.. we've all have those throw away stools that are super uncomfortable, don't roll for ****, always breaking, etc. I went on a quest to find a nice "cheap" stool, but they don't exist. It's all the same rebranded cheap chinese **** made out of melted soda cans and plastic. I looked for a few weeks and just got annoyed that I couldn't find anything decent that was cheap. I really didn't want to spend the money, but I'm happy I did. I'll definitely be buying another one, but the tall one for working at benches. They are hefty, roll like butter, the seat is nicely cushioned, it raises and lowers effortlessly, and just overall is built like a damn tank. Can't say enough good things about it. Never thought I'd be gushing about how great a stool was, but here we are lol. Just buy one. You'll love it
