*This is not a national vendor or specific product but I thought it might give a lot of folks some good ideas on searching for local good fire protection in their area:

In addition to the ABC extinguishers I have in my garage I was looking for some water extinguishers in case I have a welding mishap here or there. Upon my research I was looking at $125 for a new Ansul Sentry W02-1 water extinguisher. I called these guys, son and father shop on a side street in West Springfield. He said he has them in stock but why buy a new one unless its for show? He has reconditioned ones for $25 a piece. I went down there the other day and he's got a whole garage full of all types of extinguishers that have been reconditioned for CHEAP. I grabbed two bigass 2.5 gallon water extinguishers, $50, cash out the door. Great insurance, I'm going back at some point to buy more.
He was also telling me how the older ones are much better, brass valves inside and all that. He says if you want any kind of chance of actually defeating a fire, don't buy that **** they sell in the big box stores.
