So the electricians at work have me convinced that wire nuts are out of fashion and I should use Wago 221 connectors instead. Easy to use, easy to reuse, inspectable, supposedly more reliable, whatever.
They seem nice but the problem I see is that 80% of the time when I use wire nuts I'm connecting 3 or more wires together to make a pigtail or something. The Wago connectors are only for splicing two wires. It's nice that one connector works for all size wires, I can't even see the utility of such a connector that just connects two wires. What am I missing?
