I really like Wagos. I don't think a cover or tape is necessary though. I use them at work (industrial) and at home and never had one accidentally open.

I believe they are very popular in Europe too and never seen a sleeve or heard of needing tape. I imagine they've gotten enough use by now to prove out if it's necessary.

There are folks who like to wear belts and suspenders at the same time. For example I never run tape over and around outlet screws but some do.

nope it doesnt. it needs to be listed by an NRTL- UL being one such NRTL out of many. code cant require or mandate that a particular NRTL be used to list a product. that would be a huge conflict of interest

I don’t do that because I tighten the screws to a specific torque spec!!
