I think I am overthinking this however here goes. I am using steel liner panel cut at 42" for wainscoting. How have you handled the inside corners? I have "J" trim for the top and bottom, do you use this for the inside corners as well? Would someone have a picture to post of this application? Thanks for your help.

I generally us bottom trim at the bottom, d-2 trim or similar at the top of the wainscot, and in the corners I use J trim. I put up the steel liner all the way into the corner, then **** the j trim against it to start the next wall. Doing it this way you will end up with j-trim on the sides of half the walls...

There is also an inside, and outside corner trim that I have seen be used. I don't think it looks as clean, but others have told me I am wrong :)

Check out the menards site, and go to the building material department, then the post frame materials. They have nice diagrams for most of the trims showing how things go together.

Foamer, while I realize this is vinyl and you're using metal bare with me for a minute.

Like posted above, use two pieces of j-channel. Do one wall with the j-channel after that wall is done, put up another piece of j-channel up against the wall you just finished. If you dont, you will be able to see the wall behind the metal from one side. I did this on the house in one corner when I sided it. A beginners mistake that I learned from.

foamer1, here are some pics of what I was describing...

Since the ribs are vertical, it is less important to have J on both walls in the corner. In fact, I think it looks worse since the J is usually a different color inside then the wall.

Inside corner showing the bottom trim too...

Inside corner at the ceiling (not likely to apply to your case)

Outside corner using J (I like this better on the inside of a shop, vs the manufactured outside corners)

Hope these help...
