I live in Houston, by which is beautiful weather in the 60's. Humidity 43%, no rain all weekend. I am using Sherwin Williams TileClad, flakes and Rexthane top coat. About to apply first coat of base at 6am,then 2nd coat around 11 or 12. Could I scrape and recover flakes this evening and apply a top coat or should I wait until tomorrow for top coat. Drying time wise?

Sounds like a bit if a rush, we would normally recommend waiting overnight. If your coating is not cured, you could get outgassing and bubbles in the topcoat.

Best to always follow your suppliers recommendations too.

Believe your right after thinking about it. It's 9 now and still 59 degrees. I have to add at least an hour to the recoat time with full broadcast.

The risk is that the base is still out-gassing. If clear is applied too soon you could get a bubble. Touch test is best. If still tacky wait till the next day.
