Walabot Smart Stud Finder

I found this stud finder while surfing around. It is a stud finder that uses the display on your smart phone to see inside the wall. The guy in the video was even able to track a mouse crawling around inside of the wall.

Has anyone else seen this? Better yet used one?

I'd try it but it doesn't work on an iPhone. Pretty cool if they ever do that...

There was a pretty decent review on YouTube about a year ago. In that pic on their website - what you see on the phone is a 'representation' of what it thinks is in the wall. I decided to pass, unless something has changed since then, I will stick with what I got

In the review - the guy sticks ha 2x4 under the table and it shows up as the pipe. Same thing when he sticks his hand under the table - and he is using the $600 version with an 18 antenna array not the DIY version that only has 3

Throughly useless on lathe and plaster walls. None of their videos ever show this. They will never tell you this either.

Good to know. My walls are drywall over wood paneling over plaster and lath, lol.

It says works up to 4" deep.
