Hoping someone will chime in. I'm replacing the seals/cups in a Walker 882 floor jack. I already have the seal kit from HCRC. I don't know if the seals/cups that are in this jack are original or already have been replaced. The main 1 1/4" hydraulic rod cup nut was staked on and looked like it had some type of Loctite on it. Should I use some type of Loctite on it again or just tighten the nut and stake it again? Also the nuts for cup seals on the speed pump and high pressure were just tightened and staked. Should I do the same or Loctite and stake them too? What about using a nylon insert locknut on the both the speed and high pressure rods? Lastly, Is it necessary to remove the tank nut considering that the main ram comes out when the gland nut is removed? I've included some photos of the teardown.
