Hi All,
First time posting here. I picked up a nice Walker 882 Series C two ton floor jack last fall. Original paint, no rust, the bottle jack looked like it was never messed with. I believe it is from the early 50's. It came with a URK124 rebuild kit. The jack leaked and had to be pumped up many times to get it to lift a few inches.
I took it to an old time hydraulic shop that specializes in heavy lifting equipment for the rebuild. After being on their back burner for almost four months I finally got it back. It now lifts nice and smooth and stays up but it leaks from the ram. I suspect that the fresh pipe wrench marks on the tank nuts might have something to do with it.
Anyway I have about three bills sunk into it already. I wouldn't mind dropping a few more dollars into it to get it to stop leaking. A replacement tank nut, gland nut, and maybe a ram?
I poked around the internet for a parts source for this jack but came up dry. Any thoughts or leads would be greatly appreciated. I'm just not ready to make it a boat anchor yet!
