I had a chance to go see this jack up close and personal today and let me say it looks and works fantastic! fireman did an out standing job.

fireman, I think now you need to build a small shrine for it there in your shop:rocker:

Thanks ! Glad you came over, shrine sounds like a great idea !

Dang Fireman, that jack looks great! Mine is still in use and won't get a resto anytime soon-but she works! Thank you again for the video and pics. How did you get the caps off of the rear wheel castors? I may want to look in there to see how the bearings are holding up.

As others have said, super nice work on the jack. Story/status of the Z06 "wreck"?

Thanks , the z06 is waiting to be fixed , I do body work on my time off from the fire station ( hobby ) the insurance company says it has to be fixed by a body shop because I still owed money on it , most of the parts that were damaged were just bolt on, cosmetically the front bumper cover needs replaced and hood blended and cleared. I was in Arkansas coming back from bikes blues and BBQ , exited one highway thinking it was transitioning to another highway , boy was I wrong , exit took a hard right and by the time I realized it I left the road at about 50 , luckily it had been raining a few days before and I slid into a very muddy embankment which really saved the car from more serious damage.

Thanks mike , on the caps I just used a really small screw driver and tapped it in to make a gap then moved up in screwdriver size from there , probably not the best way but it worked with very little marring .

Excellent write up!
Good to see these are restorable.
Hopefully I'll have one in my hands next week.

Saved the pics for reference.

If you were to start the restoration again, would there be anything you would have done differently?
Pre assemble all the parts prior to powder-coating for example?

Looking at the walker roll a car jack, nice.
I need help in finding some parts that I need for my walker roll a car No. 740
series C,
I am looking for both springs, and both front tires. When I got it, it didn't work, took apart and cleaned all of the past oil and grease out of lift mechinism.
I am in hopes that someone will be able to point me in the direction to find these parts. thanks

I have one that I am trying to put together. I made the springs but they are not working out that good. Where did you get your springs at?

fireman164 has been busy restoring a Camaro for a customer and video documenting the entire build over the past year or so. I'm not sure he's even been around here for quite some time now. If I get a chance, I'll ask him for you.

Love the work done on 740, Fireman!
Does anybody know what is the height of saddle at low position and what it is lifted?
I think I was bitten by a jack bug recently...
