I picked up this little gem yesterday. It works, but needs a little TLC. I got the tag partially cleaned to reveal its a Walker Lift-A-Car rated at 1-1/2 tons. I don't know its age, but it may go well with my 1931 Ford model A pickup.

Does anyone else have one or know anything about it? I also have a vintage Walker bumper jack I restored a couple years ago and a 1940s Weaver floor jack 😀

I know that Outlaw has one (No. 716) for sure, at least. I think there have been a few others. If you search this board on Walker and Walker Lift-A-Car you will find the threads. Jacks, in general, including floor models, including Walker, present challenges for the Sticky Index, unfortunately. It's one of those subjects that never metastasized into a single thread. There are dozens.

Wow! A prewar Ford pickup and a postwar Willys jeep. You have both American icons in your garage!

Thanks Lugz. I'll do some searching. The Willys was feeling a little lonely, so I thought he could use a friend. This one came from a buddy of mine.

After a couple applications of paint remover and cleaning. I was finally able to see that it is a 1.5 ton, 716 series jack. The wonderful catalog linked above shows a very similar 717 series jack. So I assume this is an earlier version.

can somebody help identify this jack? I don’t see a s/n or manufacturer ID tag. I was previously told it was a 1930-40 vintage. Thank you
