Walker Roll-A-Car

Hi everyone,

I was wondering what the worth of a particular jack would be, roughly. Other than the, "what you're willing to pay for it answer". On our local kijiji ads, a fella has listed a Model 745 B, Walker Roll-A-Car. It's a 2-1/2 tonne jack, mechanical. He's restored and painted it up, a nice medium blue. I'd love to go pick it up, but he's asking $275, and it seems a bit steep to me.

You don't see them too often so I guess it's a sellers market. There is an unrestored 740 model on Ebay now for $159 or OBO. I have one and they are good jacks. Just don't let go of the handle when you are lowering something. $275 does seem high but if it was restored like new, and worked like new and it was close enough for you to pick it up that would be worth something. Just make sure nothing is broken.
