Hi folks,
New to the forum and had some questions. I recently refurbished a Walker Turner DP that my dad gave me and I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas about a) how old it is(Model DDP 500?) and what these usually sell for. It was a fun project, but it's simply too big for my needs and weighs too much to bother keeping around. Thanks in advance.

Nice restoration work! You have the production table on a bench top drill press which is unusual. Some people like them, but some don’t because it’s difficult to secure a vise to that table. In my area (upstate NY) that would probably sell in the $250 - $350 range. Your area could be very different though depending on where you live. I have seen a significant drop in the sales of vintage tools like drill presses, vises, lathes, etc. in my area over the past few months. I don’t know what is responsible for it, but many of my contacts who routinely sell restored equipment have mentioned it. And I’ve experienced it too. People simply aren’t spending the money now.

I'd say the color choices greatly reduce the value here. The motor also looks to be very small and underpowered.

Hello. I can't know how old this technique is because I don't see the photos up close. Of course, I can open these images in a separate window. But still, I'd like you to take more detailed pictures that would give us an idea of the characteristics of this. I think I saw such a Walker Turner DP on exapro.com last year. Of course, I could be wrong. But I think you sold it on this site or bought it there. Am I right? Answer me, because I'm very interested. You're right. It could be a DDP 500 model. Judging by the build. By the way, did you paint it? Everything I saw was gray. Nevermind. Color doesn't color matters. But still, you painted it, LOL.

@BiaoBamosux you've resurrected an old thread; having read your post it doesn't make much sense to me, but moving forward it's bad form to demand to a member "answer me".

As for the drill press, it is definitely not a "pre-1948" Walker Turner. The badge is clearly a post 1948 "division of Kearney & Trecker" type, and the DP is a 1200 series.

It is referred to as a DDP500 because the head casting part number is DDP500 and because the 1200 series had many variants, e.g; 1216-32, 1216-42, etc. -just like the Delta "DP220".

Here it is in the 1953 catalog:
