@germaneighter no need to hit owwm, GJ has plenty of gurus. Throw it on the Walker Turner thread. Having said that, there is no way to date a Walker Turner drill press to an exact year with the exception of the model that you have. As Peter said, that badge is unique to 1939 only.
Prior to that, 1930s Walker Turner drill presses would have a round driver series badge, post 1939 had a round orange badge, and in 1944 switched to a round navy blue badge. These badges had the drill press model number but not the year it was made. W-T did not have serial numbers of the type that Delta had that provided a year of production code.
1947 was the last year of the Walker Turner "Plainfield, NJ" badges as the company was sold to Kearney-Trecker and that was reflected on the badge.
