Walker Turner Drill Press Rebuild

Found an old WT drill press in a garage and have freed most of the rusted tight parts. How do you remove the top bearing retainer from above the pully. My press does not have the cover holding it down from the top. It has two set screws holding it in from the sides. WD40 has been applied liberally for about two weeks with no apparant effect on the bearing retainer.
