Refurbished my Walker-Turner (I think it's a 900) drill press. What I'm interested in is the center idler. As you can see it is mount by set screws to the main support post. Not finding any other W-T set up like this.

It's not OEM WT, it's either aftermarket or adapted from another brand. I don't like those link belts on Zamak pulleys, I think they wear the pulleys, YMMV.
That is not the WT slow speed set up. What you show has been adapted from something else. The original WT slow peed pulley is very hard to find. When I restored my WT900, I went the VFD route and am very happy with it. It has a 3/4hp, 230v 3 phase motor controlled by the VFD which provides infinite speed variation. It runs off of 110v house current.

Going to take it off as the shaft and bushing in the idler pulley is sloppy. It has a grease cap you turn to grease but it is messy.
