I'm trying to get some information regarding a WT foot feed for a 1200 series 15" drill press. Specifically - are they a fairly rare item and what is the value range for them? I would typically go to Ebay sold items but I can't find any WT foot feeds listed.

Thanks for any help/ideas you might have.

Hi Rick. The 1200 series WT drill press had a relatively short run and was offered roughly between 1951 to 1955. There was no foot feed attachment for a 1200 series. Here is a page from the 1953 WT catalog showing all the available accessories for that DP.

The 1950s was late in the game for Walker Turner as they had already been sold to Kearney-Trecker and were about to be sold again to Delta and phased out. There is a Walker Turner thread here in the vintage tool forum.

I don't know how to include a catalog page from a pdf but if you look at the bottom page 3 of this linked catalog http://vintagemachinery.org/pubs/808/6109.pdf you will see a floor model 1216-61 machine that list a foot feed as included. My machine is a 1221-61 which is a 1216-61 with a #1 MT and slo speed. So they definitely offered a foot feed. This is a 1953 catalog.

This is a parts list for the 1200 machine series from 6/15/56 that shows the exploded parts list for the foot feed attachment (12C51) on page 7 - http://vintagemachinery.org/pubs/808/2431.pdf

I agree that it does not appear to be listed on the official accessory pages but it definitely existed and was offered.

I think your only hope is the BOYD forum at owwm.org. Those guys have helped me with some very scarce parts. Have you compared the parts to the Delta 15" foot feed. There might be a chance they're the same.

I actually have all of the parts (except the upper gear guard). I did post on OWWM - no response so far. I guess one of my initial questions has been answered - I was wondering how rare this might be - appears fairly rare. I also wanted to determine what the value may be - I didn't find anything on Ebay that would lead me to a value except the much more common Delta foot feed.
