Hi all, any idea of value of a Walker Turner 1200-00 model drill press? I have one as part of an estate that I'm looking to sell, along with a lot of other tools. Thanks.

Condition? Location? Should be worth more than import 15" machines, but it's old so many people will pass on it. Is that a floor model or a bench top?

Floor model, very good condition, was/is stored in a climate-controlled shop, not a speck of rust. Located in central NJ.

I would venture a guesstimate with of $400 fair price.

Maybe higher by 1 to 200 dollars if in pristine condition.

The issue is most buyers are not collectors of vintage machinery, so it may be a lengthy time of holding out for just the right buyer who will pay a premium.

Most buyers are just weighing the value of used visa-vee the price of the import machines you can get at Harbor Freight.

Thanks. Also have some old Dewalt radial arm saws at this place, those I think will go to the scrapyard, I don't think anyone will buy those old monsters.

It seems the market for all the old "big iron" power tools is not so great. I can see why, the stuff is a nightmare to move, you need shop space to permanently devote to it, and some of the parts are NLA so if something breaks you're going to need a machinist to fabricate parts. The pros don't have time for that, and the older hobby woodworkers who appreciate the old iron are dead or have aged out of buying more stuff.
