Wall cabinets above workbench

No gaps definitely. Centered... maybe.
Since the workbench is L shaped you may want the cabinets shifted to the left so you can reach into the last cabinet on the right.
I'd suggest building the workbench first. Then setting the last far right cabinet into position by placing it on a box sitting on the workbench. Then you'll be able to see if you can access it easily.
