Just taking a scan through my wish list and I noticed that the Wall Control system in galvanized was on sale for $5.37. I ordered 2 sets and it came out to just under $30 with shipping :eyecrazy:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001J6FSDS/?tag=atomicindus08-20

The only thing I noticed is that the description stated 32" x 32" panels but all of the photos are showing rectangular panels. Not sure if it's just a typo or what. Figured I'd take a chance since I'm in the never ending process of organizing my garage.

Glad I came her to share it with you guys because I just noticed the HF lawsuit thread while I was here. Sweet!

I believe that the two 16"x 32" panels that are depicted make the 32"x 32"number you referenced.

IF... This comes through (which I have no reason to believe that it won't) you have achieved God status with me. I was slated to order the 24" x 48" panels today BUT.... these will work fine.

Thanks again!

ETA... You figured it out while I was "hen pecking" at my keyboard. :)

This seller has three ratings from 2011 through 2016. There was another seller in NC at near the same price (16.99) delivered with no seller rating on the "other seller's" page.

According to the Q&A there are two panels pieces included and each piece is 16"x 32"

Obviously if you align the two together you will get a square 32" x 32" panel area.

They are sized to center between wall studs

Price on the galvanized is cheap compared to any of the colored panel options over 750 customer reviews. Overall user feed back seems okay some issues with what style of peg board accessories

I'm lately I have been looking to get more organized in my garage workshop so I'll give it a shot. I ordered up two sets also. Should fit nicely above a 6 ft storage bench I recently built and be good over my concrete walls too.

I guess I could always flea mkt it off and get my money back if I'm not happy

I hope you guys get them but I'm 95% sure this is a scam. Look at the seller's other products. 100s of them, all with insanely low prices. The original seller's account was probably hacked and used to look legit.

Has anyone else checked their Amazon account for a cancellation notice?

Well mine says....

On the way

Shipped

These items have been shipped and are scheduled to arrive on Thursday, March 30, 2017. The carrier does not provide tracking information.

12 of Wall Control 30-P-3232GV Galvanized Steel Pegboard Pack
Sold by: WKLG Inc.
$5.37

Shipped - 1 box via USPS

I wonder what I am going to receive because these panels weighing in at 168 pounds total and being 16" x 32" surely won't fit in a USPS flat rate package!

We can only hope that all goes well but now I am having my doubts....

If this deal is bogus, be advised that you can buy 8-packs of 16x32" Wall Control from http://cheappegboard.com/ at $99 including shipping so that's 12 bucks a panel. It ships directly from Wall Control and is advertised as scratch-and-dent, but I don't think it really is. I ordered an 8-pack recently and the panels are all brand new, as were the hooks I ordered. Just putting that out there.

I ordered a bunch from them a few months back. All the panels looked brand new, just didn't come with any mounting hardware. A few of the hooks had minor blemishes but you would only notice it if you were looking for it.

Agree that it's probably a scam. I ran into the same thing recently looking for a freestanding bathtub. Dozens of tubs with new sellers offering "Used-like new" at prices about 1/4 of other sellers. These new sellers each had dozens or more of listens of a very wide variety of products with nearly identical listings, often at the same price.

Dealing with scammers much be a huge job for Amazon.

What would qualify as "mounting hardware" anyway? Just some wood screws for most people.....I don't think they should include anything.

And it ships in some impressive, heavy gauge cardboard - or at least it did for me. Others have complained of poor packaging but that was not my recent experience. I too did not find anything to indicate "scratch 'n dent." I think it's just a ploy to make you think you're getting a deal. That said, I was fully prepared for scratches and dents - I would not have cared in the least. It's not fine art, it's a tool...........that just happens to hang on the wall.

Pretty much just large wood screws and some wall anchors. Obviously it is a non issue for people that frequent this forum.

You are a rock star, just got myself some more shelves(they sell them in 3 packs?!) and hooks for the price I would've paid for just the 2 shelves off Amazon, who cares if they are scratched or dented, it's in a shop :D

Hmm...seller now removed all of their inventory from Amazon.

No tracking number with the shipment.

I wonder how easy/hard it is to get your money back on Amazon.

Sorry in advance if I steered you guys wrong :twak:

Glad to help and to be honest I found cheappegboard.com in an older GJ post from a few years ago, so I can't take total credit. Ironically came across it just recently. And yes, mine arrived in awesomely heavy duty packing and looked brand new as the other poster affirmed. It is much more expensive on Amazon. I think cheappegboard.com is just their way of burning off excess inventory or whatever.

Yep I ordered a cooler from a place w a HISTORY of terrible reviews. I should have read seller feedback first but I don't usually on Amazon. Anyway once I figured it out I contacted Amazon and they refunded almost immediately 'cause I told them they needed to.

This place would furnish old UPS tracking numbers to buy time, but if you looked at it it was something already delivered somewhere no where close to you LOL. The feedback indicated this was common practice for them.

My wall control boards were packaged well but my accessories were just tossed into a box that was too big and didn't have enough packaging to hold the parts in place during transit. Didn't look like there was any damage due to shipping though.

My boards were definitely factory seconds - some scratches in the powder coat and a couple corners were even mangled a little. No complaints from me as it was completely functional. Accessories looked brand new and undamaged save one or two pieces where the finish had some orange peel and wasn't full gloss and smooth.

Regardless of all of that I'm very happy with the product and price from cheappegboard. Would definitely order again.

Well, probably very. I sell stuff there. Had one guy file a claim and was given a refund (at my expense) despite me having a tracking number with confirmed delivery (and of course, I purchased shipping through Amazon who told me they were not liable, that I had to contact the shipping entity directly). Amazon takes very good care of its buyers, and treats its sellers like $#!+.

Sounds like eBay/PayPal.

Is there any venue that is safe for sellers?

What came of this for those who ordered? I'm looking at another new seller on Amazon (Hannahs17) but most of what they sell is low dollar stuff: coffee pots, scissors, color markers, toasters, other household misc. Specifically I'm looking at a Magic Heat heat exchanger and they're $40-50 under typical retail.

edit: I should say I'm not really worried about not getting my $ back, would just like to avoid a delay if it turns out to be a scam & I have to then re-order somewhere else

I ordered seven days ago and got a notification of shipping (see post #15 in this thread) BUT no tracking info via USPS and nothing has been delivered yet from them. Last Thursday, I ordered from the "scratch and dent" link (http://cheappegboard.com/) in this thread and received my boxes today. I ordered the galvanized panels and would say less than half of them may have light scratches/machining marks on them. The others appear perfect. No dents or bends in any of them! At less than $10.00 each delivered, if I needed more, I would order from them again without hesitation. Thanks for the link you provided us Sucking Chest Wound.

The scam sellers seem to be increasing on Amazon. They target popular items with prices nearly 90% off. Hopefully Amazon finds a better way to block these scams without encumbering other marketplace sellers.

As a high-level Amazon seller, all these new scam accounts are really screwing with my pricing & ranking metrics.
