Cons: Those type fans are usually quite noisy and if poorly aimed, you have a breeze or a hurricane flowing across a work area. They don't work well for moving air up or down for evening temperature all year. I hate the noise that most fans generate and it's quite fatiguing as well.
While our hangars at work are heated, they are tall....like 30' or so, and we use these for fans now, due to noise and the irritation factor from the old barrel types we are phasing out. Overhead fans can no longer be installed in the hangars due to some aeroacoustic problems that induce some safety hazards.

We experimented with a couple of these for the hangars, but all the air handlers are being revamped with different ducting and being setup to run as blower only when heat isn't required, so the tilt feature isn't needed anymore.
