Wall framing

Thinking about enclosing a part of my garage to make a small office. It would be 8x11. My problem is this. I have never framed anything and it seems like a big undertaking to me. Everything you read online says its fairly simple but I'm the type of person who can mess up anything lol.

Any support, tips or advice?

Well, I was a framer for 32 years in my previous life, so of course I'm going to say "It's a piece of cake", but I know that brain surgery is probably a 'piece of cake' for a Brain Surgeon.
If you can use a tape measure, hammer, saw and level, all you need to do is watch some YouTube videos or read some books on framing. Trust me, it's NOT rocket science OR brain surgery!

^^^^ and if you doubt yourself and aren't real handy with a hammer, get some good 3" torx head screws and a little cordless impact driver.
Screws come out as easy as they go in.

If you have room to work on wall sections and then tilt them up into place, it might make it easier for you to nail keep them square.

YouTube University. An older Essential Craftsman video walks the basics very well. The guy is pleasant to listen to. Don't look at his big projects — too much for a beginner.

I did the same thing in my garage, except I enclosed my washer and drier, making it a laundry room. The framing was by far the easiest part. I feel drywall and mudding is more difficult. None of it is impossible, but I wouldn't fear framing. I really enjoyed it, actually.
