Ok, so I've searched this board extensively and can not find any information regarding use of a wall mount furnace to heat a garage. So here I am requesting info from those with experience or knowledge thereof.

I got a fantastic deal on one of these and am currently preparing to install it in my 21X20 attached garage. Are they sufficient for heating garages of this size...or any size? It's the 35,000btu model and I plan on purchasing the additional blower/Fan kits that attaches to the top. That and the install may be dependent on any feedback that I acquire here. I'm located in Colorado, so not too terribly cold in the winter. I am at a disadvantage by having my house face the North though.

If your garage is insulated it should work. If not I would recommend you insulate it before you try to heat it.

Get the fan that fits in it and put a drug store oscillating fan in the far corner.
You will be getting enough heat, you just need to spread it around.

Thanks to everyone that responded. I'll give it a whirl. I was hesitant due to having to mount it 18" off of the ground as that puts the fan pretty close to the ceiling. Walls are insulated (R13), ceiling / attic soon to follow with R38.
