Wall Hanger for a Friend

Long story, but one of my best friends comes from a rather impressive multigenerational military family. He received a promotion he's been working towards for almost 20yrs. Made him a wall hanger as he sets off into the desk jockey years of his career.

I drew it all up in Fusion 360, and had the components laser cut from alumimnim and carbon fiber. I used .250" diameter, 9/32", 4-40 aluminum standoffs with 3/16" SS button head screws. The blue powdercoat was done by our very own @CudaChick1968 . The standoff idea is borrowed from Pat's various organizer trays. Not really a fabrication or machining project, but more of a design and assembly deal.

It's the only way to go! The fact they include drawings in their parts descriptions seals the deal for me. I usually buy bigger, more common hardware from a local supplier, but nobody has what McMaster has.

I agree with all the "Kodos" you are getting! That is definitely a 10 out of 10, now in typical Harry/GJ fashion if you back lit the raised panels, (overkill is never enough) that would be a 20 out of 10! Harry

I like the use of rivets like the older airplanes would have used. Good aesthetic design.
