What would you guys do in this situation...

My pole building has 7' 6" Insulation Blankets from Ceiling to Floor. Currently they are touching the concrete, My concern is if the floor gets wet and water somehow makes it way behind my walls. The Insulation would adbsorb the water.

What would you guys do to keep it insulated but taking extra precautions so that the insulation wont get wet. (easy solution would be... Cut it off a couple inches so it doesn't reach the ground) But I don't want that void. Is there something I can put there that is water proof?

@G McKay I was thinking that aswell

@KJ Mustang- I am going to be putting a 2x6 Treated Board along the bottem and then either Steel or Plywood wall coverings

yeah, I'd close in the wall and then use some of that industrial rubber baseboard stuff glued to the bottom; with caulk if necessary. Now if the water pools long enough to be absorbed by the concrete, a little still might wick up, but at least that'll keep most of it away. Or if you do the treated board thing just caulk between the board and the concrete then paint over it all.

fiberglass doesn't wick moisture so unless you have some standing water in the space I'm not sure of the concern. if the space as a whole is very humid you might have trouble but that has nothing to do with proximity to the floor.

Well that's good to know about insulation... I don't have any Standing water issues I was just conserned if water got back there from me washing cars and what now inside. I guess I like to prepare for the worst possible situation before it happens.

Thanks for everyones input it does help!
