I’m not the best at remembering to take progress pics, but here’s the finished product. I needed a way to organize and store my fishing rods in my shop, so I built this. Each rack rotates, making it easier to access the rods in the back. 2” angle iron (1/4”) lagged into the sill plate, 1-3/4” x 3/8” flat bar, with .095 wall 1-1/2” and 1-3/4” round tube.

So you fish a little huh? Nice solution. You should sell that to a store for display.

And I thought I had a problem

Looks like my wife figured out how to log on here :) I've accumulated them since I was a kid, and don't usually sell them once I have them. My kids fish with me as well. Need different rods for halibut, salmon (trolling vs casting/drifting), steelhead, sturgeon, trout, lingcod/rockfish, etc. I've found it less stressful to have enough rods to fish everyone in my boat, instead of hoping guys will have the right rod, with line that's not 10 years old, etc, etc. I've learned the hard way that not everyone is as particular as I am, and what would've been a good day with limits for everyone, ended up with multiple lost fish because of substandard equipment.

I think I have somewhere around 50 rods (give or take). Saltwater, freshwater, fly, different species, travel rods, and so on...

Most of mine (although covered with rod socks) are jumbled into a clean trash can. A few are in cases in the MH and a few more in my fishing boat at our river place.

Wish I had the wall space in my shop for something like that. As it is, I'm thinking about a bunch of PVC sleeves and caps on a frame mounted up on the shops wall girt at +8'. Maybe over one of the man doors. (16' walls, so the upper space is not used except some windows...)
