What's the best wall mounted shop vac? I've looked around, there's lots to choose from, also I would like to see what shop vac accommodates a swimming pool hose, I'm looking for a 25' many of these will fit those vacs.
Thanks in advance for your reply's.

I bought a craftsman years ago it is still going strong and have had zero problems with it. I think there is like 30ft. of hose on it. It came with 15ft. and i bought the add on kit and coupled the 2 hoses together. It has been on the wall a good 10 yrs.

I have the shop vac brand one had it for 9 or 10 years no issues and it came with a 20 or 25' hose.

The hose does clog more than the shorter hoses on my other vacs though.

Thanks Thumper68 now that you mentioned that. I have clogged the one on the craftsman but that was my fault sucking up the garage floor. And sucked up bigger stuff than i should of hoping it would go thru the hose it didnt.

I have a yellow Shop vac I got at Sears 10 years ago, still works great. The filter is easy to get as well, I end up changing it yearly.

Easy way of clearing them is to disconnect the hose and run a 18" piece of 1/2" or 3/4" round bar through.

I use that for clearing all my hoses.

Thanks I will remember that do not remember what i used to clear mine just remember it was a pia. Clogged right in the middle of 30ft. of hose. Patience is not a virtue of mine.:bounce:

Depending on what is clogging your hose I always leave the vacuum on and pinch the hose with my fingers where it is clogged. If its real stubborn I start working it towards the vacuum but it usually clears right away.

Has anyone used an old pool hose to make a better longer shop vac hose.

I have heard of people doing it with success but haven't tried it my self. On the dust collector I have a 30 footer from Rockwell, very smooth on the inside, no ridges to catch stuff. Great for sanders etc... and cleaning sawdust off the equipment.

Thanks all, I purchased a Rigid for $99 at Homedepot, I already have on on wheels, I'll keep it in the mini barn. My new garage is going to have everything off the floor unlike many garages I've seen. It's just a personal thing.
