Moved into a new house back in December. I've done a few small projects, but nothing worth noting here. I haven't seen a ton of tire rack threads here so I figured I'd put up some pictures of last weekend's project.

A few more. In the last pic you can see the only change I decided to make. I didn't like just using a couple screws to hold the diagonal supports to the horizontal pieces. Seems like the mending plates (they are on both sides and offset from each other) will be better in the long run.

looks good, what size pipe? I'm thinking it could double as an air manifold with some drops and fittings.

It's 1" black iron. Yeah I think it probably would be OK for that. I drilled 1.5" holes for it and it does move a little so maybe you'd want to secure it a little better if you had it hooked to an air supply.

Nice job.. heres a set in my old gas station i owned back in the 80's, most old shops and gas stations had similar setups back in the day.

Seeing a setup like that in an old repair shop was the reason I used the iron pipe. It was a lot easier than my old one with 2X4s was. I probably overbuilt this one, but what the hell. Not like I'm doing it for a living.
