I have a older wall mounted toilet that needs replacing (upper basin has cracks near the mounting bolts).

My options are get another wall mounted toilet (expensive!) Or a rear flushing toilet (cheaper).

My question is if I get the rear flushing toilet is there some play I can have when choosing a toilet or do the holes have to match exactly? Holes meaning where the waste goes down into.

Thanks.

What's expensive? The wall carrier and work associated with hanging it should be the expensive part. Try shopping around for the porcelain.

**** flows down hill.

There are some places that are "junkyards" for old fixtures. Any chance that would allow you to find something?

Are you talking about the vintage type with an exposed tank that looks like a regular toilet or the euro type with wall carrier in the wall?

vintage requires hunting down a replacement ..... euro is easy as many available
