Hey guys,
Can any of you help clarify how to fit in sheathing gaps without getting the seams off the stud centers (vertically)?
Since the manufacturers recommend 1/16-1/8 of a gap, how, with a typical 4x8 sheet, are you supposed to add that in on top of the width of the sheet (now 48.25" or 96.25") without it stacking up and the centers not aligning with the studs? By the time you get 6 sheets the centers would be literally at the side edge of the stud? Are you supposed to plane off 1/8 of the sheet edge? do the sheets come pre-shortened?
