I just bought an old farm house that has a nice 1000sq.ft. garage. The floor was poured in 1983. I would like to use Epoxy or Polyurea. The walls are paneled and sheet rock depending on which wall. My question is what to use for a base board? I was thinking about a rubber baseboard such as what it used in bathrooms, kitchens and some commercial kitchens. I thought I could somehow glue it to the floor to keep water from getting under the walls. What have you used to transition from wall to floor?

Cut 1/2 inch up on the wall before you install the base board.That will keep water from ever touching the wall.

Do the expoxy before you put in the baseboard in.

There's some real nice cove base available that works great with epoxies. Cut and glue to floor & wall, then epoxy along with floor. Comes out about 1 1/4" from wall, available in 4,6 & 8" heights.

AG do you have a name brand or supplier for this cove base your talking about?
Seeing as there is a difference in opinion on coating the floor before or after the cove base molding. What would be the pros and cons of each?
